Paralegal

As an experienced paralegal at Darrigo & Diaz, Jovita Matos is often one of the first firm representatives to speak with clients in need of our legal services. She is responsible for meeting clients at intake, answering all of their questions, and gathering all info prior to opening case files. Additionally, she maintains all client contact with cases that are in litigation, and handles CME scheduling with motions.

Jovita holds an Associate’s degree in paralegal studies and has been with the firm since 2009. Her experience and compassionate approach are essential to helping clients find answers to their questions and making them feel re-assured about choosing our firm to help them with their claims. Her belief when working cases is that while the firm has may have multiple cases and clients, clients only have one firm. It’s this approach and personalized attention that ensure we provide exceptional service.

Having worked in the legal field for some time, Jovita understands a wide range of legal issues and common client concerns, as well as duties that come with the litigation process, such as scheduling, answering, and filing interrogatories and discovery. When she is not working, Jovita enjoys spending time with her daughter Camila, bike riding down Riverwalk, dancing, and enjoying time by the water.
